Student Researcher
Ruby Addie is a Global Health major in the School of Health on the pre-med track with a passion for expanding healthcare access in underserved communities. Through her research on the RESTORE Study - a mental health intervention pilot in Senegal - and clinical work at Georgetown and UCLA Health, she has developed a strong commitment to culturally responsive, community-based care.
On campus, Ruby volunteers weekly with HOME at Georgetown, distributing essential resources to individuals experiencing homelessness in DC. She also works as a barista with The Corp, Georgetown-and the nation’s-largest student-run nonprofit, while assisting with clinical research focused on chronic sinusitis. Beyond Georgetown, Ruby serves as Social Media Manager for Selamta Family Project in Senegal and tutors students in AP sciences and ACT preparation. Looking ahead, she's excited to deepen her cross-cultural medical experience through an upcoming clinical internship in Mombasa, Kenya, where she'll rotate through multiple hospital specialties while engaging in community health outreach.
